Mission / Focus

The Lab for Youth Mental Health, led by Professor John Weisz, aims to bridge the gap between clinical science and practice to improve youth mental health care. In an effort to develop and test scalable mental health interventions, the Lab has recently begun to conduct randomized controlled trials and meta-analyses of digital mental health interventions for children and adolescents. These digital mental health interventions incorporate therapeutic content similar to that found in empirically supported face-to-face psychotherapies but with the benefit of increased accessibility.

Areas of Study

The Lab for Youth Mental Health’s areas of study include: Youth Mental Health, Youth Psychotherapy, Evidence-based Interventions, and FIRST Model and Therapy Programs.
